Ever wanted to spend a weekend solving a real NASA challenge? If you’ve been sharpening your team-coding skills with the Huskie Hackers, here’s your next hackathon. The NASA Space Apps Chicago Hackathon takes place Saturday and Sunday, November 14–15, at 1871 in Chicago.

You don’t need to be a space expert to take part. Space Apps is free and open to everyone, whether this is your first hackathon or your tenth.

What to expect

• No experience required: you don’t need a team, past hackathon experience, or a background in space science to join.
• Real NASA challenges: you’ll work with other participants to tackle problems posed by NASA and its partner space agencies.
• Expert support: mentors from industry and research will be on hand to help your team along the way.
• Free to attend: there’s no cost to register or participate.
