Studio Space Utilization Policy

The 71 North Partnership Studio is a collaborative space designed to foster innovation and creativity among industry partners, students, faculty, and community members. To ensure a productive and respectful environment, we have established the following policies for members using studio spaces.

Food and Drink

Food and drinks are not allowed in most studio spaces to maintain a clean and professional environment. However, we understand that certain events may require refreshments. Therefore, we allow food and drink in designated areas only. Please ensure that all food and drink items are consumed in these areas to prevent spills and maintain cleanliness in the studio spaces.

The following spaces allow food and drink on a regular, unrestricted basis:

• The Opportunity Zone
• The Ingenious bar

When working at a desk in the studio, you may have a drink with you, but please use the provided coasters, be mindful of spills, and clean up after yourself.

Cleanliness and Maintenance

Members are expected to keep the studio spaces clean and tidy. This includes:

• Cleaning up after yourself, including disposing of trash and recycling properly.
• Wipe down surfaces after use, especially in shared areas like the Opportunity Zone and Ingenious Bar.
• Returning furniture and equipment to their designated places after use.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the studio management promptly.

If you do spill something or otherwise make a mess, please clean it up immediately to prevent damage to the furniture or equipment. Please also alert the studio management as soon as possible.

Respect for Others

Members are expected to respect the rights and privacy of others while using the studio spaces. This includes:

• Keeping noise levels to a minimum to avoid disturbing others.
• Being considerate of shared resources and equipment.
• Don’t monopolize shared spaces or equipment for extended periods, allowing others to use them as needed. If you reserve a space, please ensure that you vacate it at the end of your reserved time to allow others to use it.
